日本列島に息づく🔗縄文のアニミズムとシャーマニズム の精神文化を、陶芸や絵画、VR、インスタレーションなど多様な表現を通じて、現代に伝えていくことに取り組んでいます。

国内外の先住民族や研究者、宗教者、芸術家との交流とフィールドワークを重ね、神話・祭祀・民俗・考古学・宗教学・比較文化論の知見を往還させながら、縄文文化を「過去の遺産」ではなく、いまに生きる智慧として捉えてきました。そうした成果を展覧会や講演、執筆、作品制作として国内外へ発信し、アートと学術、祈りと創造を横断する独自の実践へとつなげています。

「現代と未来のために祈りの源流を見つめる」をテーマに、人類に共通する精神文化の起源を探究し、新たな世界観の提示をめざしています。

​​​I am an artist and researcher working with the spiritual culture of 🔗Jomon Animism and Shamanism rooted in the Japanese archipelago. The Jōmon culture, which flourished from around 14,000 BCE to 300 BCE, is known for its deep reverence for nature, its clay figurines and vessels, and a worldview in which spirits are present in all beings and landscapes.

Through ceramics, painting, VR, and installation, I explore how this Jōmon-inspired spirituality can be re‑imagined in contemporary forms of prayer, ritual, and worldview.

By engaging in dialogue and fieldwork with Indigenous communities, researchers and religious practitioners in Japan and abroad, I weave together insights from mythology, ritual, folklore, archaeology, religious studies, and comparative cultural studies. In doing so, I approach Jōmon not as a relic of the past, but as a living source of wisdom for the present.

I share these explorations through exhibitions, talks, writing, and art projects in and outside Japan, developing a practice that moves between art and scholarship, prayer and creation.

With the theme “Looking to the sources of prayer for the present and the future,” my work seeks the origins of a shared human spiritual culture and offers new perspectives on how we might relate to the world today.
