A Handmade Ceramic Work Born from Global Materials

Based in Arita, Japan, and Canada, I create through interactions with ceramic artists from around the world. My creative endeavors have been greatly broadened by coming into contact with techniques rooted in diverse histories and cultures and exchanging opinions. These cross-border encounters and inspirations have been the driving force behind my creation of my own "unique ceramic art." New expressions are born from researching and combining the characteristics of clay, glazes, and paints from the East and the West. It is a unique style in which materials from different countries and cultures resonate with each other. My works are the culmination of this exploration, and are all one-of-a-kind, handmade pieces.
